Week 34 - Merry Christmas

I'm gonna start off by saying this our numbers were very poor this week, but we got alot of stuff done. We visited a part member family on Monday and the daughter who is 10 and is not a member was completely cool with us coming over and teaching her. Also we got  2 other families to come to the performance of the Messiah and we are starting to work with them. One family already really likes us because they are regulars for our English class and they have a good relationship with all the missionaries in Tuen Mun!! (Kelvin, Katie, and Coco)

We also started teaching a guy from India named Chanresh. We started teaching him and he really likes me and Elder Jensen. He even woke up early to exercise with us haha. He has no religious background of God, so we slowly introduced that to him when we meet with him, and also the Messiah performance he stayed and talked to us and the other missionaries for like a hour!

Then the messiah performance itself was super good. It was 1.5 hours of straight music singing about Jesus and there was twice as many people than they were expecting, so I guess the smallest zone in the mission brought in by far the most people, so powerful!!

Then last night I probably had the most powerful experience on my mission. We visited a member in the hospital who fell and was paralyzed from the waist down, and got so sick he can barely talk and can't eat, and even with this circumstances he straight up told us he is still super happy and was so happy to see us. We gave him a Christmas card and a pass along card with a picture of baby Jesus and he kissed it and said he loves Jesus. I have never met someone as powerful as brother Tam and dispite all the challenges he faced family and physically he never lost his testimony. gotta love that man!! I also had the opportunity to give my first blessing ever in Cantonese. We offered to give one to him, and he said he wanted me to do it haha! I was super nervous, but with my limited Chinese I felt the spirit and gave him a simple blessing of comfort to overcome his life's challenges and also reminded God was aware of his pains and will always be with him. I was a great experience and testimony building experience for me. (He eventually was able to check out of the hospital, but wasn't able to come to church very often due to his health. He was such a great example of enduring to the end and keeping the faith despite his health problems. After my mission in July 2019 a year after i got home, I was able to meet up with Bishop Yu from the Tuen Mun ward. Sadly brother Tam passed away in early 2019, but he said he continued to stay faithful to the end. Such a great man!)

Exchanges in HSK finding on the border!

Week 33 - Another Week Down

Hey everyone, another week in the beautiful Hong Kong! Not alot happened this last week. The only things out of the ordinary was we had zone training on Tuesday. It was alot of fun. We all invited members to attend so we could practice teaching the Christmas initiative, and we also did a family feud game with districts againest districts, and I'm sad to say my district did not win, but its not about winning it's about learning right???

The Tuen Mun Elders also had the wonderful opportunity to teach English class!! and I didnt know we were teaching it until about 20 minutes before our weekly meeting to discuss what is gonna be taught.. so we literally planned the entire thing walking to the church, and guess what everyone loved it!!! They also really liked the church's Christmas video this year, so that was great.

ummmmm we also had a district find where we got kicked out of every place we went to, but did get 1 phone number!!! and I went on exchanges with Elder Hanson, which was alot of fun where we hit the streets and went finding for days!!! There are alot of great things happening this week in our stake, and we are hoping the members invite their friends to these activities. In hong kong a group of members are performing the Messiah and we have been told alot of non members will attend it, and the Asia Area Presidency wants the missionaries to go crazy at this event and talk to everyone!! It's gonna be AWESOME!!

Oh and I almost forgot on Saturday we visited less actives with the young men in our ward, and were able to drop off Christmas presents to them, and also share a Christmas message! They all really liked us visiting them, and it for some it was the first contact with church members in years, so some progress is being made!!

Remember that guy who was pressured by his friends to meet with us, and we turned over to the butterfly elders? Well he got baptized this week! (3 years later is on a mission now!)

Love you all for the love and support. hope you all have a great Christmas!!

Week 32

AYYYYY all of my friends, everything has been great this week, and the highlights of the week was... 2 new investigators!!! Something that is really hard to find in Tuen Mun!!! but yeah thats cool. We got both of them to come to a meet the Mormons activity at our church, and half of our zone was there because they all got RCs, less active, or investigators! There were a total of 28 people there and we were expecting like 15 max!! Also something that I have forgotten to say this, but a couple of weeks ago when Elder Wong came and spoke to our mission he promised us that if we do what he taught us, the mission's baptisms in November and December would double what it was in September and October and guess what it's happening!! Our zone in November alone doubled the 2 months before, and there are more to come in this month too!! Also as a mission in 2 weeks, after the mission made some changes, baptismal dates went from like 60 to over a 100!!! It's so cool to see the work moving forward here in Hong Kong!

So this week I had to do a lot of exchanges this week as Elder Jensen had to start prepping for zone training tomorrow, so I spent a lot of time with Elder Clark in his area in Yuen Long, so I guess I'm now like a half Mandarin missionary even though I can't understand anything of what people are saying in Mandarin. I also got to go on exchanges with my district leader Elder Huang, and it was so much fun! Taught a couple of lessons and went finding, and learned a lot from him, so that was a lot of fun!

Also this week we had our quarterly interviews with President Lam, and all I can say is even though he's only been a member for like 20 years, he is a very powerful man. I always learn a lot from him and I respect him very much.

So that's my week. Our lessons have dipped in the last couple of weeks because of meetings and also the lack of investigators, but we are hoping our 2 new ones will start to show some potential!!

Week 31 - Thanksgiving

Well let's start off the week from the very second I ended emailing last week. We went to Sham Shui Po where we were able to find the coveted Manchester United jerseys on the street. They were buried in the back in a bag because you know they were fake and had the Adidas logo on the bag, but they look 100% real and we got them for like 7% of the real price in a store!!

Zone Thanksgiving Dinner
Nothing really happened out of the ordinary on Tuesday and Wednesday. We had district meeting and taught a couple of lessons, then of course Thursday was Thanksgiving!! It was so much fun, and I'm gonna be honest the turkey was super super good, and all the other traditional foods made for Thanksgiving had to be made from scratch and having some replacement ingredients such as pumpkin squash for pumpkin pie, and making a crust from scratch and baking a pumpkin in a toaster oven. A lot of people had to be very creative with some of the foods, and  we were the ones who made mashed potatoes, like 20 pounds of it!! It was a lot! We had some rap battles (about missionary work of course) listened to Elder Chen's recording of himself sleep talking and going on a rant on how district leaders are better than zone leaders haha and some other stuff. and the highlight was a zone wide Ping Pong tournament where me and Elder Jensen lost 7-0 in the finals to TSW, and I still blame Elder Jensen for the loss, but yea it was a lot of fun.

Elder Yeung and me
On Saturday we were able to visit our buddy Shawn and teach him and his kids. He seemed really interested in the Book of Mormon, so we are hoping we can continue to teach him and his whole family. After his lesson we went to our our stake's youth talent show, and it was probably the most fun I've had on my mission outside of Thanksgiving. They had some people sing, but they also did some skits. All the missionaries were all in the back corner and starting chants, waving our arms, and just laughing like crazy (most of the skits were hilarious we aren't that immature) one of the skits they did a Cinderella Parody but with a Mormon twist. Instead of a shoe it was a Book of Mormon that converted the guy, and while he's on his mission he is searching for the girl. and all the missionaries in the back are all yelling no thats MH DAK!!! (not ok) haha everyone turned and looked at us at that part of the skit. and your ward youth totally formed a band and killed it on stages. You could say this week was a a lot of fun!!

Also for some weird reason sister Tsang decided to enter the HK famous mental hospital. We weren't really sure why, so we went to visith her. She does have some mental problems, but not that bad, so we wanted to figure out why and shared a message. Also since smoking isn't allowed in the hospital, she's stopped!?

So yeah those were the highlights of my week, and today I finally get to pick up my new suit, super excited!!

Love you all!!

Week 30 - Chaos.... well not really

The title is kind of misleading but also true at the same time. Nothing really special really happened this last week, other than our other zone leader got moved and so they are white washing zone leaders right before Thanksgiving and meetings with the Stake President. So the majority of the week has been meetings and hitting the streets during those meetings.I did have to give a training in district meeting about the atonement and I thought that went pretty well. It's crazy because I was panicing that it had to be 20 minutes long, and when I was like halfway through we needed to wrap up and I didn't get to share everything I wanted. It's crazy how time flies when you are feeling the spirit.

Sorry but not alot actually happened in the Tuen Mun companionship this last week, but I will have alot more next week because of Thanksgiving!! Alot of people have asked what we are doing and we are getting together as a zone and having a massive dinner in our stake center. The only thing we have to worry about are the companionships that have to make food with ingredients that can't be found in Hong Kong!! but that's not my problem to worry about because we got the best cooks in the Mission worring on that stuff!!

Love you all and I'm thankful for all your love and support!!

Week 29 - We are Christians

Hey everyone coming to you from Hong Kong, or I guess Tin Shui Wai Library! Well anyways this week was a lot of fun. The weather has finally cooled down! On Thursday it was a good 66 degrees F and all the missionaries were wearing sweaters under their suits, and big jackets and I was like " I would go outside in just short sleeves if it wasn't againest the rules." but of course 2 days later it was in the mid 80's again, so ehhhh thats ok. but anyways on Tuesday we met up with 2 college students who are doing a research project on the church for their sociology project, and we taught pretty everything we believe in 2 lessons, roughly 1.5 hours each (we met with them 2 weeks ago during P day ugh) they even went into myths and assumptions about the church that they found on the internet. At the end of our meeting they said they had to think of a new thesis or something like that because we aren't the cult that they thought we were along with the rest of Hong Kong! They didn't have much interest, but now they actually respect us as Christian religion!

Dinner at Bishop's home
I guess the only significant event that took place this week was we went all the way to Sha Tin to visit a member in the hospital. Don't worry we got permission, so we traveled about a hour each way to visit him. We got the times mixed up for visiting hours and we showed up 2 minutes after, but the receptionist was nice enough to give us about 8 minutes to talk and leave a small message. He was super happy to see us, and it made the trip worth it because he has gained even more trust in the missionaries. So the trip was worth it.

We did get to visit some members as well. Our super cool Bishop made us the dumplings with soup on the inside, which is suuuuper good, and we also made a cheese cake to share!! And I love me some cheese cake!! Bishop Wong also has a huge collection of airsoft guns and he just had to show them off to us! We also visited the Lau family and they are also super cool, so this week was super great! We are also getting ready to invite one of our investigators to have a baptismal date for January so the work is moving forward in Tuen Mun!

Love you all,

Week 28 - Big Transfer

My Portland buddy Elder Cornilles is the new office Elder!
Well me and Elder Jensen will be staying another 9 weeks in Tuen Mun, but there were so many changes that happened in my zone. There were like 7 people that left, and every district has a new district leader, and Elder Jensen is also a new zone leader, so I'm going to be on exchanges a lot this transfer. We also have a new addition to the Tuen Mun apartment. Elder Mongrobang was transferred to international on Hong Kong Island and my buddy Elder Oquist who is on his last transfer is training Elder Fakatou who is from England, so I finally got someone to talk soccer with!

Well after looking through my planner nothing really happened this week. They are filming a documentary on the church here and are following around missionaries alot, and they filmed Elder Oquist and Fakatou when they first got to the apartment. While they were in Kowloon, they told us a camera crew was coming and to clean the apartment very fast. And when they walked in my tie was down, so while I was on camera I turned around and pulled up my tie and yelled WELCOME! So when the documentary comes out I'll probably be that one Elder that is adjusting his tie haha. (Sadly I didn't make the documentary'a cut)

 Best quote ever! #teachpeoplenotlessons

Also I guess I can say this real fast but I had to teach 2 lessons with Mandarin Elders and I had to teach the entire thing because they have no idea what people are saying, and I have always struggled to understand this specific person, but the gift of tongues really does kick in when you needed it most because I understood almost everything and was able to answer all their questions with the Book of Mormon, so it was awesome. (the person was a RC so we retaught some lessons and made stuff a little clearer)

Not a lot of time left, other than I love you all!

Week 27 - Miracles

Well to start of this email I want to talk about an experience that happened during district meeting last Tuesday. We were reviewing everything that was talked to us about Elder Wong and I gave a little training on helping others overcome concerns. The main reason I chose that was because one of our investigators Sister Tsang said her sister won't let her be baptized and she really relies on her a lot. So I wanted some ideas from the rest of my district. Then in the middle of our role plays to help with the concerns she calls us twice ,so Elder Jensen answered it the second time, and she says that she got permission to be baptized from her sister, and received revelation on how she can stop smoking!!! We were both super happy and excited. We later met with her that night and she was super happy to share a little more, and we read Alma 32 about continuing to build on that particle of faith. and then on Sunday she came to church, and loved it! We are super excited and she gets along great with the rest of the relief society. I never knew how important member presents were until now because missionaries would come and go, but members stay. We also told her transfers were this week, and she was super nervous because she really likes me and Elder Jensen together but I'm gonna quote what she said " God knows where we need to be, so if one of you go I know another great missionary will come" She is sooooo powerful!!

On Friday, me and Elder Jensen taught a pretty bomb English class I'm not gonna lie. and we played the game telephone and when some people don't know a single word of English we were bound to get something completely different, and yes that happened. and we also had the amazing opportunity to go to the temple, and right after something crazy happened. We went to the mission office to hang out for a little, and walking back to the subway station there was a young American couple just getting out. When I got close to them I'm like "hey I know you!!" and after asking a couple of questions he's like best friends with someone that was in one of my wards at BYUI and I played basketball with him like everyday until I hurt my knee! Man small world. He told me he lives in Beijing teaching English now. It's crazy, but totally forgot to take a picture totally a Elder Eveson mistake.

On Saturday we had the 3 wards that meet in our building had a combined youth Halloween party. The missionaries planned the whole thing because Chinese people don't really know what to do but it was a lot of fun. A great missionary opportunity. There were like 7 or 8 non members there. My buddy Jacky who is 12 and a recent convert right before I got here said doughnuts on a string would be super easy and failed horribly and also said apple bobbing would be super easy and really struggled until he almost drowned himself getting an apple haha!

Transfers are this week and me and Elder Jensen are gonna stay together for another 9 weeks. that'll be 27 weeks and the end of the next transfer, so crazy!

Love you all!

Week 26 - 6 months

Well in 3 days it will mark 6 months, and it's so hard to believe!! I can perfectly remember hopping on a plane at 6am heading to the MTC. it's crazy, but not as crazy as this week has been. Last Monday we had a supper good lunch at KBQ (Korean BBQ) in Mongkok and went with like 8 other missionaries, then right after I finally bought my new suit, now just gotta wait another month before I can get it. This week was super packed with activities and a typhoon, so very few lessons were taught, but those numbers will rise next week I promise, and I can explain how awesome they were!

Mongkok, Real HK city
My favorite part of the week was we had Mission Tour where Elder Wong of the Seventy came and game us a training for most of the day. You remember like 2 years ago when General Conference talks were allowed to be spoken in the speakers first language? Well he was the first person to do it in Cantonese and he made sure to remind us about it. He also loved blasting President Lam about him going to a super good expensive school and becoming super rich, and he also made fun of Elder Earls and called him an animal that escaped from the San Diego Zoo haha.  General Authority's with a sense of humor gotta love that. My favorite thing he shared with us was us missionaries are the exact same as the stones that the brother of Jared used to cross the ocean. There were 2 in each barge and they were touched by the hand of God to give them light. He said "you missionaries have been touched by the hand of God when you went through the temple, and now you are the light in the darkness to bring these people to the promised land" that just really hit me, and helped me to even better realize my purpose is as a missionary. It was a great experience. I know it won't be the last time he will meet with us. (He kind of lives like 20 minutes from Mission headquarters in Kowloon)

Then Friday, well lets just say it was a wasted day. There was a typhoon and we were stuck inside almost all day. Nothing happened in my area, but some places had bad flooding and cars were being moved. So yeah we did some weekly planning and you can only do that for so long, so we also played some card games, so it was pretty much a wasted day because most people won't even schedule you for next week because they are afraid they'll die haha.

So yeah that was my week

Week 25 - Zone Training

Another great week here in the China Hong Kong Mission. Not alot to report on this week, other than we had a boss Zone training, where we talked about getting referrals for 3 hours. We even had a NCAA tournament bracket made for different ways to ask for referrals. We had to go back and forth asking "Do you know anyone" questions, and if you couldn't think of one you were out. Elder Cornilles from Tualatin Oregon took the championships. Yeah I lost in the second round.

Right after Zone Training we went to Tin Shui Wai which is like 2 wards over from mine, and taught someone who totally called us from a flier we gave them. First time that's ever happened for any missionary, but anyways it was a great lesson and she kept saying "God totally arranged this!!!" We also taught her son, and he also seemed super interested. His eyes were glued on whoever was speaking the entire time, and it was awesome. So powerful. (But Sadly when the missionaries in the area tried to contact them it turned out her son got super antied and passed it to his mom.)

Zone Picture
The only other significant event to happen this week was on Saturday I went on exchanges with Elder Stratford, one of my Zone leaders in Yuen Long and he's a Mandarin missionary. We taught a couple of lessons, and I had no idea what was happening, the only thing I was able to do was bear my testimony at the end. I did learn a lot from him though, and while on the trains going back and forth if someone didn't know Mandarin it went straight to me, which is like the first times that's happened to me, but it was a lot of fun.

The rest of the week, we met with some recent converts, and we met with our RC Jacky for the first time in a month because he is at school, and its a lot of fun teaching him. We get some laughs in, but also he teaches himself a lot which is great.

So that's my report on  the week, now I'm off. I need to get myself a new suit!!

Love you all

Week 24 - A Missionary's "Super Bowl Weekend"

Nothing really special happened this week other than Conference, and it was awesome!! I guess the coolest thing was we met a guy on the street named Shawn, who is from Nigeria, and he had 2 young kids who were black and obviously preferred Chinese over English. Actually now that I think of it they may only know a little English, but they were the coolest little kids, but anyways Shawn seemed super interested!! He even asked us for our phone number and we have been in contact with him, so we are super excited to teach him, or see how he does if we hand him over to some of the English missionaries.

Chelsea and Munich Bayern in Central
(If you know soccer, you will know them)
Talking about conference, we, missionaries call it the Superbowl weekend for missionaries!! I loved how the priesthood session started off. Elder Holland started by blessing the Priesthood holders about home teaching, and we missionaries just started dying because Elder Holland was also talking to us, but the talks that stood out to me the most was Elder Stevenson on the Saturday afternoon session. I loved his challenge to give up some of your TV/ phone time and read the Book of Mormon. He said if you can give 10 minutes to reading it, it could make a big difference in your life, and ain't that the truth!! I also love Elder Rasband's talk to end the Conference. If any of you are struggling with your testimony GO READ HIS TALK!!! I promise it will help!!

There isn't really anything out of the ordinary to report this week. No super spiritual lessons, just spiritual. English Class is becoming really good. When I got here we averaged 5 or 6 people at a class, but the last 2 weeks its been like 18-20 people, and there are regulars that have been coming for months, who are just now starting to meet with the missionaries. Its awesome!!

Today we had a ward activity and we just got back from Central. We went to a old church chapel that was turned into a Museum, and before it was a chapel. It was owned by a super rich guy. so yeah they had church in a mansion before! We also went around to some of the historical sites around there it was pretty fun.

So that was my week!! Shout out to my buddy Elder Loftus who I saw in the MTC choir that sang in Conference!!

Love you all

Week 23 - Trainee No More!

Very little to report this week. I just hit my 5 month mark last week, and it's crazy that I've already been out this long. Last monday we went to Ikea and had some very good food. Elder Oquist is from Sweeden  and he loved it there. So almost everything here in Hong Kong are both translated into Chinese and English, but there they had a 3rd language Sweedish, and he was freaking out!! We had some good meatballs, and we dropped some good money of food there.

Wednesday at Crossroads (a charity where Elder Jensen and I volunteer every Wednesday) was alot of fun. The rooms there have been having leaks, so one of the people in charge of fixing it was like "I know tar works, so I'm trying to convince my boss to buy more tar for this problem". So me and Elder Jensen spent a couple of hours on a room tarring the roof. It was fun and got some tar all over my legs and some on my fingers. That wasn't fun getting off, but the rest was actually fun, a lot better than weeding, that is for sure! After that, we had a zone find out in a new complex in HSK, We scheduled to be finding for 2 hours, but we spent over a hour talking to a very interesting man, and by we I mean Elder Jensen because the guy went on a 30 minute rant, and my brain can't process Chinese that long, so I got the beginning, but slowly zoned out. So there is something I could improve on. We then went on to ask him if he had any friends who might want to hear about the gospel, and he took us into the nearby shop and started introducing us to random people there haha! Most of them said they didn't even know who he was and told him to get lost!

Yeah we taught  some lessons, got Sister Tsang to a baptismal date!! Now we just need to help resolve her concerns. She loves meeting with us, and loves sharing about what she reads in the Book of Mormon, now we just need to help her stop smoking which we know she can do!

So that was pretty much my week. today we are meeting up with Elder Jensen's trainer and going to a the largest dirty mall in Hong Kong, and apparently they have dirt cheap gummy candies over there!

oh I totally forgot this week I finished training so I am no longer a trainee!!!

Week 22 - Training a Mandarin?

So what another crazy week here in Hong Kong. A little miracle happened after we emailed in the Apple store in Central. We were 3 stops from Central when Elder Jensen found out he left his SD card in the computer in the Apple store. He was having a little panic attack the whole train ride back and almost died when it wasn't in the computer, but someone turned it into lost and found so everything was great!

That night we exchanged with the Mandarin Elders for 24 hours and Elder Rostedt another trainee that was with me in the MTC was my companion on Tuesday. That day, a new member who was baptized a week ago in another ward named Sister Yeung moved to our ward that day, and I was talking to the Elders in the Sgeung Shui Ward and it was arranged that we would meet her at the bus stop and help take her stuff to the apartment. I was supper nervous because I have trouble understanding older people because they slur their words a lot, and she called me and I had a mini panic attack. When we finally met with her, I was like "this is gonna be interesting" but then the gift of tongues really kicked in. I didn't understanding everything, but I got a lot of it, so we helped her move in had some dinner and went out finding. And once again I understood a lot of what people were saying! I handed out 1 Book of Mormon the 1st one I've actually handed out too! There was one person I was talking to that was normal and he was listening to me, but his friends was very interesting. She was speaking in half Cantonese and Mandarin. So Elder Rostedt tried to talk to her and me to the guy. We ended up giving him a restoration pamphlet, so yeah Tuesday was very interesting but also a lot of fun!

Also this week at crossroads, they needed some cleaning under their shipping containers, so what they did was just lift the containers with a crane, and we would sweep under it! yeah probably not the smartest thing to do walking under themm but, I'm here writing about it so we're all OK!

Another really cool thing Mrs. Tsang said we can no longer call her Mrs. and only can call her sister now haha! and she also accepted her baptismal invitation and said she was willing to try her best to stop smoking! Great things are happening in Tuen Mun! After the lesson a couple of YM from our ward, and a YW from the next ward over were studying in the chapel with a non member friend who elder Jensen actually taught a couple of times before i got to Hong Kong. We tried several times to schedule him but he was always "too busy". Well his friends pressured him into a lesson with us haha and we taught the plan of salvation. It was a little awkward but we were able to turn him over to the Butterfly elders a couple of days later!. (3 years later! his name was Tsui Chun Ho, and he is now a legit stud! He was baptized like a month later, and has stayed super active! I think he is even on a mission now!)

Then yesterday we had a 8 year old get baptized and his father called like every less active in our ward to come and we had like 7 come! it was awesome that was the first time they have been in the church in years and we looked around while singing "Nearer my God to Thee" and they were all singing! We are super excited to work with our Elders Quorum's President to meet with these people. Most of them still have a testimony, but here in Hong Kong it's work work and more work.

So thats my week! love you all!!

Week 21

My zone handed out 604 of Book of Mormon in August
To start off the week last Monday we went out to lunch with a member that lives on the other side of Hong Kong in Ma On Shan (I'll later finish my mission here!) but is known for feeding the missionaries very expensive food. He took us and 3 other companionships to a Japanese buffet in Tsim Sha Tsui and is super expensive. It was the first time I have ever had gourmet food in my life, and we all ate until we almost threw up. I had some Kobe beef, Caviar, King Crab, Lamb, and some other really good stuff I didn't know what it was. Even the corn was amazing!

This week was probably the hottest week here. In our apartment the average temperature has been in the low to mid 90's but there is nothing I can do about that.

This week the lessons really didn't come. We did drop one investigator (Tim) but over the last month or so he stopped progressing and only scheduled when he had English questions to ask, and he already started talking to other Elders about it too, which really frustrated me and Elder Jensen. But also this week we taught probably the most powerful lesson so far on my mission and Elder Jensen said it was the same for him. One of our investigators sister Tsang who is going through a struggle choosing the church or a bad influence friend. She went to English class she seemed perfectly normal, but when we met with her after she was just not responding to anything. Then she straight up said  some personal things that I won't say and me and our member present turned to Elder Jensen and we  were like "I have no idea what to say". I could tell he was also panicking inside a little, and he kind of eased it into the Plan of Salvation. Then I really felt like I needed to share a specific scripture in Alma 7 and talked about Christ's suffering for all of us in order to know all our phyical, mental, and spiritual pains. After that it was like something changed in her. She was more engaged in the lesson and we both felt even though that was not in the lesson plan, it completely changed to entire lesson for the better. It was AWESOME!

Sunday we had stake conference and we had 4 investigators and 2 less actives there!

Today we decided to head to the island and hangout in the main part of Hong Kong (Central). My entire apartment got super nice matching ties for like $3.75 US and just had some fun. So yeah that's pretty much my week!

Love you all
